We design and publish ebooks
Ebooks are books created either as:
- locked (you control who can open and print it) or
- open and printable by the reader.
While the process to create the book is the same as for a printed book, you won't have a printed book to hold in your hand. Instead of sending the finished files to the printer, a PDF (portable document file) is created and uploaded to your website for distribution.
All the other elements are the same as with a printed book—design, layout, file creation. However, you don’t have any printing or distribution costs. When you sell your ebook from your website, you enable the buyer to read your book on their screen, or if the book is "unlocked" and printable, they can print it out.
There are also the choices of making your book available to the various e-readers that are increasing in popularity. The process is the same design and layout, but the file structure is slightly different for each reader.
